An Open Letter To YouTube Video Tutorial Makers: Edit Fluff

Dear YouTube Video Tutorial Maker,

Thank you for the final installment four years later on the six-part, six-week, one-per-week series you promised in the beginning. You did explain in the last two videos that were a year apart that you have been busy with school and your new job at Piggly Wiggly.

One request: For your next video can you edit out the part where you clearly don’t know what you are talking about. I appreciate you trying to explain it several different ways. The difficulty you are having is you have no clue.

Hey, don’t worry, neither do I!

But you could save about 35 percent of both of our time if you just take that part out.

Plus, you would save me from my brain melting when you start and stop the same sentence 53 times: “OK, guys, I wanted to show you this feature, it’s right here in this menu…uh, it’s not there, you have to switch the views, OK, here is the feature I wanted to show you, what you do is…ok, it’s not there, either…maybe they took it out of this version…Oh, I know the deal, you have to select this tool, OK here is the feature I wanted to show you…nope….”

Thanks again. I appreciate the stuff you do know.

Sincerely,

Melted Brain
